- Assassin's Creed Odyssey is the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, set in Ancient Greece four hundred years before the events of Origins. Odyssey moves even further away from the typical action game, adding role-playing elements such as lengthy dialogue, character gender selection, and the like. Players choose between two main characters: mercenaries Alexios and Kassandra, direct descendants of the legendary King Leonidas of Sparta. The plot centers on the Peloponnesian War, which divided Greece into two warring camps.
