Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a first-person slasher with a focus on multiplayer. The game features team-based multiplayer battles on medieval battlefields. Inspired by the intense and epic medieval battles seen in films like 300, Gladiator, and Braveheart, the game strives to convey a similar battlefield atmosphere to players.

Gameplay and controls are similar to first-person shooters, but instead of firearms and grenades, players use swords, shields, maces, axes, and bows. In this fictional, yet highly realistic world, players will siege castles, raid medieval villages, and compete for glory in dynamic multiplayer battles in an arena of up to 32 players.
