The game is based on the science fiction ideas of the Victorian era, set out in the works of Herbert Wells and Jules Verne. Ironcast is set in a fascinating alternate universe. Set in an era where sophisticated men and women in high hats and bonnets control giant, paced fighting machines that tear apart the enemies of the British Empire. Take control of a seven-foot-tall walking machine called the Ironcast and fight the invading enemy Ironcasts to defend Victorian Britain in the 1880s.
Battles are fought through the creation of resource nodes that power the Ironcast's weapons and various systems. You must choose wisely how to spend these nodes -- on attack to destroy your opponents, or on defense to evade anticipated enemy fire.
