Half a century after the Red Faction resistance team and their Marauder allies liberated Mars from the brutal Earth Defense Force, harmony on Mars is once again threatened, but this time by a deadly force shrouded in mystery.
When the massive Terraformer providing Mars with Earth-like air and weather was destroyed, the atmosphere descended into chaos, and violent storms and thunderstorms engulfed the planet. To survive, the colonists fled to underground mines and built a network of habitable caves.
