The Sims 3 is another part of the endless series of "life simulator", in which players still "raise" their ward "sim", and control him throughout his life. The game is a virtual sandbox in which the player can control the life of the characters in the town of Sunset Valley, which was founded by the Goth and Landgraab families, and later joined by the Alto family. There are 26 families in total in the city, with many characters borrowed from previous installments of The Sims.

Players can control a family of up to eight "Sims". The goal of the player is to satisfy the needs of their "Sims" so that they do not die - thus, you can play virtually an infinite amount of time. Compared to the previous part, The Sims 3 has become more convenient - for example, the character editor has been improved here, a "mood" system has been added, which is formed on the basis of events taking place during the day, and much more. So, for example, if a Sim gets hungry, then we do not have to personally lead him to the refrigerator and choose food, because the game itself will offer to feed him through the appropriate dialog box. Also, in The Sims 3, players have complete freedom of action - everything they do now depends only on them, and no one will limit them.
