Shadow Tactics is a realistic tactical stealth simulation game set in Edo-era Japan.

Take command of a squad of the best assassins, sneak in the shadows past unsuspecting enemies. Decide on your own the tactics of infiltration into impregnable fortresses, monasteries in the snow-capped mountains and camouflaged forest camps. Set traps, use poison or completely avoid colliding with the enemy.

The squad is made up of very different people. Collaboration seems impossible at first. However, as the missions are completed, the warriors learn to trust each other, a friendship is struck between them. All characters have their own motives, and each will have to meet face to face with their own demons.

Hayato, one of the leaders of the squad, is a skilled ninja, secretly dealing with the enemy with a sword and a shuriken. Samurai Mugen prefers a more straightforward approach and is able to defeat many enemies on his own, but he lacks flexibility. Aiko is a master of transformation. She is able to distract the enemy in the form of a geisha. Street child Yuki sets deadly traps and lures enemies into them. The secretive Takuma relies on his sniper skills and firearms to "shoot" enemies from afar.

To succeed in challenging missions, the player will need to carefully weigh the options: will the characters act as a team? Which of them is better equipped for a specific task? How to properly use their skills to achieve a goal? Find your own clever tactical solutions to defeat enemies and complete the mission.
