The Escapists invites players to plunge into everyday prison life, and the main goal, as for any prisoner, is to escape! Under the strict supervision of guards, players must carry out their daily duties, while quietly appropriating useful items for themselves right under the noses of the jailers. To escape, prisoners need to learn how to create useful tools and even weapons from seemingly safe objects, and also know how to use them to implement cunning distractions.

Players need to know when to follow the rules and spend time making up their own escape plans. The secret to living behind bars is learning about the prison's daily routine and being able to spot auspicious occasions. So working out possible exit routes and even confusing guards will soon become a habit.

Players must remember to show up for roll call, keep their jobs, and maintain good relations with other prisoners. You can also improve your character's stats in various ways, including developing his intelligence and exercising regularly. Find a balance between your daily routine and developing escape plans to achieve your ultimate goal - escape to freedom!
