Stronghold Crusader 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the original castle sim Stronghold: Crusader. After 12 years, Stronghold returns to 1189 in the deserts of the Middle East, but with a new 3D engine and a realistic castle destruction system created using Havok Physics. Firefly Studios has recreated an authentic castle simulator with fast and addictive gameplay.

True to its roots, the new Stronghold is an old-school game that combines real-time strategy and city-building elements. Choosing between the brutal Crusader Knights or the Arab Freedom Fighters, you'll have to lead huge armies and siege equipment into battle to decide the fate of the Holy Lands. Enter the war as Richard the Lionheart or the Sultan of Syria in two historical single-player campaigns, where you will be accompanied by dynamic events such as tornadoes and a locust invasion. Become the greatest Lord by taking over the reins of the desert economy and holding control of vital oases.

To dominate the battlefield, you will need to master the control of more than 25 unique types of units with special abilities. Raise the morale of your troops with the help of the Royal Sergeants, charge into battle with a squad of Sasanian Knights, unleash a volley of arrows on the enemy with the strong bows of the Archers, or capture the enemy’s castle with the skillful use of silent Assassins. Once you've perfected your skills, test your skills in skirmish mode or go head-to-head against up to 8 players and AI Lords. Organize teams, choose different AI opponents and create your own skirmish and multiplayer maps!
