Nomad Survival is an auto-attacking, wave-clearing, time-based Roguelite where you can expect to become stronger as you progress through each run, improving your stats. The gameplay involves waves of enemies from all directions coming to defeat you, and every minute the enemy types and their behavior change in a predictable manner. You control your character's movement, automatically using the abilities available to you to defeat your enemies, gaining new abilities (or leveling up old ones) whenever you gain enough experience to level up.
You can have as many abilities as you want, with each non-passive ability granting bonus effects at levels 5 and 10 (10 being the max ability level).
Each character boasts their own playstyle through Weapon Skills, which are a special innate ability each character has that is exclusive to them and improves naturally over time. Characters can then be given a Legacy, which further changes the way the game plays. For example, the Nomad Heritage gives the player an extra re-roll when they level up, while the Poxbringer Heritage instead converts all of your damage to damage over time.
While there are only two maps to play on, each map is vastly different, not just in difficulty and enemy density. Each map also boasts unique events that add a challenge and keep you on your toes, as well as 4 unique boss encounters that will require you to adapt your strategy to defeat.
The game is all about finding builds that you find powerful and fun, but never making the game too easy to the point of boredom. The first map allows you to enjoy the game and experiment with different stats while taking on unique challenges, while the second map is significantly more difficult and will be a serious test for those who want to test their mettle against tougher opponents, events, and boss enemies.
Feeling like the game is too slow? Increase the game speed on the level select screen. You can speed up the game by 50% or even 100% to really test your skills and reflexes!
