Drill Core tells the story of a team of brave miners and their colleagues working for a brighter future. At least, that's what it says in the employer's advertising brochures. In fact, it often turns out that employees of the corporation "accidentally" deplete the subsoil and destroy the ecological system. The gameplay combines elements of several genres: it balances between a colony management simulator, tower defense and a platformer. Accordingly, players must personally mine resources, build a base, and fend off alien attacks with automated turrets and other equipment.

The more minerals you collect, the more reliable the platform will become. The probability that the planet will explode will decrease, but not to zero, so always be on your guard and learn to adapt to new dangers.
