- COMPANY OF HEROES is a very cinematic game about World War II, released by Relic in September 2006. The campaign, although short, is one of the most detailed and well-developed in WWII strategies. Quite normal, not "soapy", like in Codename: Panzers, the plot is filled with video inserts. Its role is reduced to explaining missions that do not pretend to be historic: defensive, offensive or sabotage. All episodes are very rich and balanced so that all units on the map can find a use. There are no idle tanks or soldiers sitting out, the situations are clearly differentiated. As a result, the epic turns out to be incredible, luxurious and exciting. Tickets for a magnificent performance are available to everyone. This should not be embarrassing: the genre of real-time strategy has not seen such a staging of military operations for a very long time. Moreover, it frankly missed it.
