However, this promising undertaking soon turned into a disaster: for some unknown reason, the city suddenly disappeared into the clouds. America's greatest achievement has vanished without a trace...
The main role in this mystery-filled story is given to former Pinkerton detective Booker DeWitt. He was sent to Columbia to find and free a certain Elizabeth, for whom the city of the future became a flying prison as a child. The detective will have to establish a relationship with the girl in order to use her and his unusual abilities to the fullest - after all, only the two of them will be able to get out of Columbia, which is losing altitude every second (and therefore its crash is only a matter of time).
