The Slovak company ESET from Bratislava is known worldwide as a manufacturer of antivirus software. The first version of the ESET NOD32 application was released in 1987. This program is designed to provide comprehensive protection in real time.

NOD32 on personal computers resists threats such as viruses, worms, Trojans, spyware, adware, phishing attacks. The company's patented ThreatSense technology blocks real-time threats that are unknown before, by analyzing the programs being launched to determine if malicious code exists in them.

The success of anti-virus applications is impossible without regular updating of their databases, for which ESET uses mirror servers, it is also possible to create mirrors inside the network to reduce the consumption of traffic when connected to the Internet.

In addition to virus databases, the application uses heuristic methods to confront unknown viruses. A significant part of the program is created in assembler, so the consumption of system resources of the PC is minimal, and the speed of verification is maximal.
