After inheriting the house of her reclusive Aunt Kate, Riley Park decides to explore. In the attic, she discovers an old television and a stack of VHS tapes, labeled only with the episode number of an unknown show. Intrigued, Riley inserts the first tape into the VCR.

To Riley's surprise, it turns out to be a children's cartoon from the early 2000s that she's never seen before: apparently, it was made for local television. The main characters are a girl named Amanda and Curly the lamb, her loyal but shy friend. At first, the episode seems simple and sweet, but then Riley realizes something is wrong: Amanda and Curly seem to be communicating with her through the television. And although her mind tells her to stop, Riley is forced to keep watching the tapes. It seems as if Amanda wants something, and now Riley won't rest until she finds out what it is.
