Awowed is set in the fantasy world of Eora, the setting for the popular RPG series Pillars of Eternity. The protagonist is a representative of the Aedyran kingdom, known for its constant military conflicts with its neighbors.

The plot takes us to a remote island called the Living Lands. It seems like a routine mission, but upon arrival, it turns out the local lands are engulfed in a mysterious plague. While investigating the origins of this plague, the hero unwittingly finds himself drawn into some ancient secrets of the island.

The game's world is quite diverse: it features snow-capped mountains, dense jungles, and much more. Each region has its own landscape features and, of course, its own inhabitants. Moreover, the hero's actions influence the attitude of the locals and the overall state of the surrounding world.

The player also has a good choice of combat options: they can wield melee weapons, fire a firearm, or cast runes. All of these methods can be combined if desired—for example, you can freeze an enemy with magic before striking with an axe or stun them with a shield before pushing them off a cliff.
