About the game:

Elysium: Blood Games immerses you in a world of blood, dark influence, and secret deals. You play as an Arenamaster, commanding a band of three fighters rescued from the ruins of an ancient city and trained in the art of shedding blood for gold. Your goal is to guide, train, and prepare them for their ultimate goal: holding high the championship banner.

Elysium features fully detailed warriors with 5 stats, a profile picture, and a special trait that can influence gameplay in various ways, giving them true personalities. Your task is to shape and guide them on their brutal journey and earn as much gold and glory as possible while keeping them alive and well. There's a dark side, too: use your influence to purchase various favors for special benefits, bribe opponents with gold, or use special potions to boost your fighter's skills.

The game features a detailed career mechanic, including injuries, a realistic aging algorithm and career arcs, various potential and development curves, and a training mechanism where you can specify which aspects to work on. Sign them to contracts that evolve as their skills develop, acquire new blood during the offseason, and compete against nine other warriors hungry for their own glory. Warriors eventually retire, are killed, or die of natural causes, and the game features full tracking of highly successful warriors, championship winners, and those who tragically perished in battle.

The game includes numerous built-in help and hints to make learning the game quick and easy, and the high-resolution graphics/interface, music, and sound draw you in.
Complete replayability—warriors, concoctions, schedules—everything is randomly generated every time you start a new game. No two setups are ever the same. Play other matches, bribe opponents, promote your matches for more income, complete secret tasks for rewards, and progress to larger stages as you accumulate career victories. 12 special match types change your experience: Flaming Swords, Lions, extra gold, or even the rare Sudden Death match!
Use various dark methods to improve your warrior's chances: buy drinks for your warrior to drink to boost stats, or purchase special favors (over 40 in the game) using your influence earned from winning matches.
A fully integrated career engine, including injuries, retirements, aging, and a wide variety of development arcs, makes the game constantly changing and evolving over time. The game also features history tracking, such as championship winners, retired/killed warriors, Hall of Fame performers, and much more. Thousands of ultra-detailed fight texts bring combat to life, with realistic ebbs and flows, dizzying counters, bleeding, and sound effects that draw you into the action, with a full breakdown of stats at the end of each fight: hit percentage, average damage, and more. Control every fighter's movement during combat (lunge, normal, defensive, or aim for a vein to bleed) or set them in position and watch the fight unfold. The choice is yours.

At the end of each season, negotiate contracts, recruit new players to the league, and add them to your personal manager stats, which can impact your in-game "character." Compete in single-elimination playoff tournaments where losers go home!
