Build a new empire, drive back foreign invaders, or try to achieve neutrality in Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone. This expansion for Paradox Interactive's global strategy war game about World War II adds new alternate history scenarios for three nations and introduces other significant changes.
Hearts of Iron IV: By Blood Alone introduces:
• New State Focuses for Italy: Follow Mussolini's path or rewrite history—restore the monarchy, stage a communist revolution, or replace Mussolini with one of many other contenders.
• New State Focuses for Ethiopia: Try to defeat Italian or other invaders by leading a unique government-in-exile.
• New State Focuses for Switzerland: This mountainous nation, sandwiched between France, Germany, and Italy, draws strength from its neutrality, balancing rival factions and the initiatives of the great powers.
• New Peace Conference options: negotiate the demilitarization of individual zones or entire countries, seek to seize the capital ships of defeated nations, or demand control of enemy resources and factories as reparations.
• Aircraft Designer: Design and build your own aircraft, from maneuverable interceptors that prioritize speed to bombers that drop multi-ton death from above.
• Unit Medals: Each unit's achievement log allows you to track its performance and award unique medals to commanders for their success in battle.
• Embargo: Embargo your enemies with the new diplomatic feature. Forbid them from trading with you if global tensions rise too high.
• New Units: Over 20 new units for Italy, Ethiopia, and Switzerland
• New Aircraft: 67 new aircraft models and 12 new music tracks
