Pathologic is a creatively crafted, narrative-driven art thriller about the fight against a deadly disease in a remote steppe town. The town is crumbling before your eyes. Difficult decisions must be made—sometimes unavoidably. The Sand Plague is more than just a disease. You can't save everyone.
A plague is devouring the town. The town's chief healer dies under mysterious circumstances, and you must take his place. You'll have to find unexpected allies. The children know something, and they're carefully hiding it—you'll have to play by their rules.
You only have twelve days.
- 12 days in a strange city tormented by a plague.
- Time is everything: if you don't keep track of it, it will slip away. You'll have to think hard about how to spend your precious minutes.
- A thriller about survival in society. You'll have to look after your body, finding ways to overcome hunger, thirst, fatigue, and so on. Finding resources alone won't cut it. Surviving alone is almost impossible—learn to win people over.
- The further you go, the worse it gets. At first, it will be difficult to find common ground even with your own body... and then, even harder. At the first opportunity, your body will betray you. In this game, the stakes are clearly not in your favor.
- You can move around the city completely freely—there are no artificial restrictions. You can enter any house and knock on any door—as long as you're prepared for the consequences, of course.
- A duel with an invincible enemy. In "Pathologic," your main enemy is the Plague itself, ethereal and malevolent. And there are no tools to defeat it. Your only chance is to understand it.
- Steal, rob, kill, bargain, beg... or do none of the above. To survive, you'll need food, drink, medicine, and other supplies, but how you obtain them is up to you.
- Fights are short, brutal, and unsophisticated—just like in real life. And often, they're to the death. After all, most opponents are interested in your wallet, not your life.
