You must escape the secret TranStar lunar base. The odds are stacked against you—and with each new playthrough, the dangers you'll face, the objectives you'll need to complete, and the items that increase your chances of survival will change. The Mooncrash expansion for Prey is full of deadly surprises and will challenge even the most skilled players.
Shortly after the disaster on Talos I, the TranStar Corporation loses contact with its secret base on the Moon. Peter, the protagonist of Prey: Mooncrash, is a satellite operator conducting intelligence for the Kasma Corporation, TranStar's main competitor. The terms of the contract between Peter and Kasma leave the spy no choice: to return to Earth and see his wife and son again, the hero must, at all costs, discover what happened at the Pytheas lunar base.
• Survive. Die. Gain experience. Run! The TranStar Moon Base is overrun by Typhon, and if you don't want to become their prey, you'll have to move quickly. Each escape route will be slightly different: when you begin a new playthrough, the environment on Pytheas is generated anew, in the best traditions of the rogue-lite genre. Be prepared: enemies become increasingly deadlier over time, and the storage room that saved your life last time may now be waiting for certain death.
• Fight for survival the way you like, and with whomever you choose. Replay the campaign to unlock new characters, each with their own set of skills. Will you prefer the resourcefulness of a brilliant engineer or the shotgun of a security chief, who dispatches alien scum far more effectively than a wrench? Or perhaps you're more comfortable in the shoes of a volunteer test subject? His soul barely clings to his battered body, but his arsenal of psionic abilities turns him into a weapon of mass destruction... Choose. In Prey, your choices matter. Search for secrets, loot, and the path to salvation.
• Mooncrash is crafted with Arkane Studios' signature attention to detail. Explore a base the size of four levels of Talos I, scavenge for resources, and beware of the Mimics!
• New challenges and new solutions. The Typhon threaten humanity once again, and their ecosystem has become even more diverse and deadly. Use all available tools, including popular weapons and abilities from Prey's main campaign, to survive and escape the base as quickly as possible.
• Prey: Typhon Hunter. Mooncrash includes the online mode Prey: Typhon Hunter, where five shapeshifting Mimics hunt a sixth player (Morgan Yu). In this game, every object can be an enemy. Who will win: Morgan or the Mimics?
• TranStar VR is a VR-exclusive single-player campaign included with the Typhon Hunter update. You'll play as various TranStar employees, completing missions and solving puzzles on Talos I several days before the events of Prey.
