"Sid Meier´s Civilization V: Brave New World" is the second expansion pack for Civilization V, recognized as the best PC game of 2010 and earning rave reviews from critics. This new expansion adds depth and replayability to the game, focusing on culture and diplomacy and introducing international trade. Your influence on the international stage is determined by the masterpieces you create, the ideology of your people, and your resolutions at the World Congress. As you progress through the centuries, you will make important decisions that shape your relations with other civilizations.
Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World introduces nine new civilizations, eight new wonders of the world, two scenarios, four new game systems, and dozens of new units, buildings, and improvements. All of this gives you a wealth of new ways to build the greatest empire in the world.
• New Cultural Victory: Spread your culture across the globe, and make other cultures bow before it. Your great artists, writers, and musicians will create masterpieces, housed in key buildings across your empire, such as museums, opera houses, and even the Great Library. Send archaeologists to explore ancient battlefields and city ruins, and they will uncover priceless cultural artifacts.
• New Policies and Ideologies. Upon reaching the Industrial Age, you can choose an ideology for your people: autocracy, liberty, or order. Each opens up a range of opportunities and allows you to achieve victory in one way or another.
• World Congress. Diplomacy has become even more important in the game, and alliances with city-states are more important than ever. Shape the diplomatic landscape with the World Congress, which decides on crucial issues—such as trade sanctions against a rebellious country, resource restrictions, the selection of cities to host the World Games, or the use of nuclear weapons. Game-changing resolutions, vote-winning campaigns, intrigue, and a new way to achieve diplomatic victory all contribute to a more dynamic and exciting endgame.
