Stalingrad is a real-time strategy game based on a modified version of Nival Interactive's Blitzkrieg engine.

The game's storyline unfolds from mid-July 1942 to January 1943 and depicts the events of one of the most dramatic episodes of World War II. Over the course of two detailed campaigns, players will first lead the German Army's advance on Stalingrad and its subsequent capture. They will then take command of Red Army units to liberate the Soviet stronghold from Nazi forces and achieve the complete defeat of the Wehrmacht's 6th Army. Unlike other games on this topic, each mission in Stalingrad is built with historical realities in mind and is tied to the events of World War II, both in time and location. Furthermore, individual combat missions are organized so that the campaigns as a whole provide a realistic picture of the developments in the theater of war at the time.
