Berlin, 2048. The world is on the brink of disaster. Resource shortages, diseases caused by polluted air and water, high crime rates, war. Governments and corporations promise to solve these problems with technological advances. Drones and humanoid robots are replacing people in the public sector, everything is interconnected, surveillance is ubiquitous.

Richard Nolan is one of the few journalists unafraid to openly criticize the existing system. Waking up in a hospital after an explosion and discovering the mysterious disappearance of his wife and son, Richard realizes that he and his family are more than just bystanders in a clash of ideas about saving humanity on the border between bleak reality and digital utopia. They find themselves at the very center of this hurricane.

This local drama gradually evolves into a thriller about a global conspiracy aimed at determining the fate of humanity. Could an ideal digital utopia be the answer? A virtual paradise devoid of material needs and conflict? Could artificial superintelligence be our salvation? Or will it simply declare our existence pointless—for it cannot be taught humanity?
