Surviving the Aftermath is a real-time management strategy game developed by the creators of Surviving Mars. The game allows you to build a colony of people who survived a nuclear war and manage their needs for food, water, shelter, and more, with limited resources as expected in a post-apocalyptic setting. There are over 50 buildings divided into familiar categories such as food, housing, security, resources, production, and research. In order to avoid wasting precious resources, the colony's inhabitants need to receive education in the fields of production and management, with over 40 different specializations available.
Other activities include natural disasters, radiation contamination, exploration of the surrounding world, adaptation to environmental conditions (you will find yourself in one of six biomes), and protection from various dangers, looters, and bandits, but no zombies.
