Description
The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of standalone cinematic horror games with branching narratives, where your decisions shape the story and the ending. House of Ashes is the third game in the series. Iraq, 2003. As the conflict draws to a close, a military unit, accompanied by CIA operative Rachel King, is ordered to investigate the suspected existence of an underground chemical weapons facility in the shadow of the Zagros Mountains. Upon reaching the coordinates, the search party is ambushed by a local patrol led by Sergeant Salim Osman. During the battle, tremors create craters in the ground, and both sides find themselves in the ruins of a buried Sumerian temple. In the darkness beneath the Arabian Desert, something sinister awakens. Wild and unstoppable, ancient and unearthly creatures are finding new prey. The squad faces terrifying discoveries and must make impossible decisions as they navigate an underground labyrinth and escape a deadly threat. Will they fight for themselves, or will they put aside their fears and personal differences to fight together? The Curator's Cut features new scenes where you can play as different characters and make completely new decisions. The Curator's Cut is only available after completing the main story.
