The Longbeard Culture expansion adds three new playable factions to Total War™: ATTILA. Lombards, Burgundians, and Alamanni can be used in single-player or multiplayer campaigns, as well as in custom and multiplayer battles.

After centuries of being threatened by Roman rule, these three formidable and warlike Germanic kingdoms are finally ready to launch expansionist campaigns from their homelands. The Western Roman Empire is located in the south, its border territories are weak and ready for plunder. With a unique combination of new buildings, combat units, and factional features, the Longbeards are ready to use the chaos of the era to their advantage.

In history, these factions subsequently founded several great empires of the medieval period. Will you be able to channel their power to create these empires on your own?

A unique storyline chain of events: The Lay Of Ybor
Playing for these factions, you will get a new series of related story events. "The Word of Ybor" is designed in the style of a German saga, in which you direct the actions of a legendary hero through a series of branched narrative options. As the story comes to an end, Ybor himself becomes available as the general of your army, possessing traits that reflect the choices you have made.

Unique features of the faction
These factions have unique features that distinguish their style of play in the Great Total War™: ATTILA campaign.

Burgundians: Created for hunting
Icy Determination: +10% Squad Replenishment
Harsh living conditions: +15 food items for each region with low fertility.

Alamans: The unity of the Germans
Frontier: Increases melee attack power by 15% compared to the Romans.
Royal Splendor: Increases the commander's range of influence in battle by 50%.

Lombards: Godan's Favorites
Liberators: The number of men recruited from the defeated enemy forces doubles.
"Fury of the Creator's Hand": The morale of fighters fighting armies of other religions increases by 10%.

Unique mission objectives
Players participating in the campaign along with the Lombards, Burgundians or Alamanni will receive a number of unique tasks during the campaign. Among them is a new additional task that gives you the opportunity to enrich yourself significantly, leave your settlements and become a real migrating faction.

Unique units
In addition to the list of German barbarian units, the Burgundians, Lombards and Alamanni have access to a number of unique combat units.

New additions
There are several new additions to the Longbeard Culture set that will improve the skills of key characters in your campaign.:

Pforzen's Buckle: A bonus to siege defense.
Sacrificial dagger: Cheaper religious buildings and stronger religious influence.
Godan's Mastermind: Increases damage and melee skills with armor
Benevolent scammer: Increases the money earned for embezzlement.
