UBOAT is a World War II submarine simulator, but it's unlike other similar games. Its mechanics are based on micromanagement and open-world survival, and the main theme is the lives of German submariners. The submarine is their home, capable of turning into a mass grave at any moment.
In UBOAT, you control your crew first, and your boat second. Monitor the physical and mental health of your sailors. If they are hungry, tired, and demoralized, you are doomed to failure.
Survival
The survival mechanics in this game are based on a complex and well-developed damage system. The unpredictable situations it can cause will test your resourcefulness and composure. You can try to save the entire crew or sacrifice one for the survival of many.
On the high seas, you can rarely count on outside help. Improve your command skills by effectively managing your available resources. In emergency situations, you can replenish them by calling on allies for help... or by searching the wreckage of a sunken enemy ship.
To extend battery life, disable unnecessary equipment. To conserve oxygen, order your officers to remain in their bunks.
To boost your comrades' morale, play cards with them or play music from one of the nearby radio stations.
Career in the Kriegsmarine
As you progress through the game, you will receive combat missions from the Kriegsmarine Headquarters. These missions are never linear: as you complete them, you will receive new orders and encounter unexpected problems.
Dedicated combat mission completion is rewarded with increased budget and increased standing in the submarine fleet. You will need both to upgrade your submarine to keep up with the enemy in the technological race.
Upgrade your submarine with the funds you receive.
Exchange reputation points for additional powers.
Purchase new torpedoes, decoys, carbon dioxide absorbers, and other equipment.
Send your officers on Headquarters missions to speed up research and gain other benefits.
Authentic Simulation
The highly realistic submarine model created in our game doesn't compromise its accessibility. You can play UBOAT like a regular game, gradually learning the many subtleties that will help you better command your submarine.
We even accurately reproduce such nuances as the curvature of the Earth's surface and the effect of ballast distribution on the submarine's trim.
Perfection can be achieved in various ways. On the one hand, you can develop your commanding talents by quickly and effectively distributing all work among your subordinate officers. On the other hand, you always have the opportunity to take matters into your own hands. Look through the periscope, listen to signals from the sonar station, and repel enemy air raids by manning the anti-aircraft gun!
