You control X-COM: an organization created by the world's governments to combat an ever-growing external threat.

• Control the battle in close-quarters combat
Shooting down a UFO is just the beginning: you must lead a squad of heavily armed soldiers to explore various UFO crash sites. Destroy aliens with machine guns, grenade launchers, or even tanks in the fight to acquire new technologies, weapons, and new life forms.
• Research and manufacture alien technology
Completing successful missions will allow X-COM scientists to analyze alien artifacts. Each new discovery will bring you one step closer to understanding the technology and culture of alien races. If you have sufficient research data on superior alien weapons and their manufacture, you can manufacture weapons of equal capabilities.
• Develop a strategy for Earth's development
You will be responsible for making every important decision in the fight against alien forces. But you must also pay attention to the global political situation: governments may enter into secret agreements with the aliens and begin cutting funding for the X-COM project. ==========================================
