XCOM 2: War of the Chosen significantly expands the game's possibilities. Resistance factions join the fight, seeking to strike back against the alien invaders. In response, the enemy deploys the "Chosen"—adversaries intent on capturing the XCOM Commander and returning them to the Elders. Additionally, the expansion introduces new classes, enemies, missions, and combat conditions.

NEW FACTIONS AND HEROES
Three additional factions have emerged within the Resistance: the Reapers, the Skirmishers, and the Templars. Each possesses unique abilities and a distinct philosophy that often conflicts with the beliefs of other allies. Each faction sends experienced heroes to aid you and unlocks new strategic-level capabilities.

THE CHOSEN
XCOM has never faced enemies as cunning as the Chosen; each possesses unique strengths and weaknesses that shift from campaign to campaign. The Chosen hunt the Commander, seeking to capture, interrogate, and eliminate XCOM soldiers. They can also cause trouble at the strategic level, sowing chaos in XCOM's operations. Locate and storm their strongholds to eliminate them once and for all.

NEW ADVENT ALIENS AND THREATS
A deadly new alien known as the "Spectre" enters the fray, capable of creating copies of XCOM soldiers. You will need to devise new tactics to counter it, as well as the fiery attacks of Purifiers and the psionic abilities of ADVENT Priests.

NEW OBJECTIVES AND ENVIRONMENTS
Tactical operations will take you to abandoned cities devastated by alien biological weapons, underground tunnels, and areas overgrown with alien flora.

STRATEGIC LAYER EXPANSION
You must build relationships between XCOM and various factions, defend the *Avenger* from the Chosen, and issue orders to the Resistance based on your chosen strategy. You can now deploy soldiers, scientists, and engineers on covert missions that, if successful, yield resources and boost your reputation with the factions.

VARIETY AND UNIQUE REPLAYABILITY
Soldiers form bonds with their squadmates, gaining new abilities in the process. The SITREP system unpredictably alters tactical mission conditions, turning every operation into a unique challenge. Expanded campaign settings allow you to tailor the game's length and difficulty to your preferences.

CHALLENGE MODE
Devise the perfect strategy and conquer community-selected challenges to climb to the top of the global leaderboard.
LET PEOPLE KNOW
You can create your own Resistance posters by choosing soldier poses and appearances, filters, text, and backgrounds. Your posters will appear in the game and can also be shared with friends.
