You are Artyom, and after the events of Metro: Last Light, you and your comrades decide to leave the Moscow metro behind and embark on a massive journey east on the train "Aurora" in search of a new life.
A vast semi-open world awaits, where you can explore stunning but deadly locations: from snow-covered forests and deserts to abandoned cities and flooded caves. Each area is unique and offers its own challenges.
Gameplay combines intense shootouts, stealth, weapon and gear crafting, and exploration of dangerous territories. You'll need to clean your gas mask, charge your flashlight, scavenge for resources, and make tough decisions.
The story is about hope, friendship, and sacrifice. Every companion on the Aurora has their own history and personality, and your actions affect their fates.
